Pressure Holter is a clinic diagnostic tool which the link between coronary disease of the heart and arterial high pressure is examining, what allows for thorough analysis of many parameters of the heart-vascular risk. It is writing 24-hour profiles of the blood pressure, the ST segment and the changeability of the rhythm of the heart, and the 2-channel image of the curve electrocardiography in the programmed earlier sequence. Additional records of the curve along with values suiting them of the blood pressure will be an electrocardiography riots registered in the case (dumb) of events of the ischemia, the high or low pace of the action of the heart or episodes of the faint. Patients can manually mean and register additional events in case of the appearance of their symptoms.
The examination is performed at patients: diagnosed towards arterial high pressure, at the inspection of the treatment which problems in the control of the pressure are appearing at current therapy with the team of the "white apron", at automatic measurements of the pressure are disqualifying the stress associated with an appointment at the doctor's when hypertension is coexisting with the coronary disease when we suspect that high values of the pressure are appearing mainly at night
Contraindications
The examination is included to non-invasive, however one should not make it at persons: directly after injuries to the hand or the chest unconscious or for other reason of not cooperating allergies sometimes in the case known one should choose other type of electrodes (they are self-adhesive and at sensitive persons some types can irritate the skin)

ABPM examination (pressure Holter) we are making with Cardiotens apparatus. Disposable electrodes, stuck to the skin of the Patient are used for the examination. The cuff for the measurement of the pressure has size adapted for needs of the Patient. We also have XXL cuffs and sizes for very slim persons (and children). Apart from the measurement of the pressure apparatus provides the also sequential registration for the electrocardiography 24-hour clinic profile of the blood pressure with the sequential recording of the curve electrocardiography 24-hour profile of ST and the rhythm of the heart, constant, made in the real time, analysis electrocardiography

Preparation for the examination
For examining best to dress the cotton T-shirt with the short sleeve (the cuff for measuring the pressure is being put on to the sleeve, isn't annoying the skin then) and loose outer overcoat with the wide sleeve. Clothes should not easily "to electrify" oneself, because it can disrupt registration electrocardiography.
During the examination one should lead the normal activity.
Ruthlessly one should protect apparatus and all his parts from damp and water, it is threatening with destroying the device.
During the examination the Patient should keep the diary, in which he will be writing all significant events so as taking medicines, effort, the escalation or the appearance of other complaints etc.
